These are difficult economic times. Over the years, State budget cuts have greatly impacted funding to education, including programs such as Tri-Cities ROP. The Educational Foundation was established to help fill the void where educational funds have been severely stretched.
Where Does My Donation Go?
During the 2013/2014 School Year, Tri-Cities ROP Educational Foundation donated $500 to Sweet T Cakes, a Virtual Enterprise Class comprised of Business Academy students at La Serna High School.
The Educational Foundation also donated $250 to two California High School Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) students to help offset costs associated with their attendance at the National HOSA Competition in Florida.
And, at the 2014 Evening of Excellence, Tri-Cities ROP Educational Foundation awarded scholarships to 73 high school students. We hope to increase financial assistance to students this coming school year, but can only do so with your help and the help of others.
How Much Should I Donate?
Aesop is credited with saying, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
That being said, we want you to know that every donation, no matter the size, WILL NOT be wasted and WILL BE used to SUPPORT STUDENTS!
How Do I Donate?
You may choose to give monthly (ROP teachers and staff have the option to do so via payroll deduction), or you may decide to give a one-time donation. Whichever method works best for you and your budget, your contribution will be thankfully accepted and easily processed.
